the acrylic japanese bath is now designed and craftsman-made outside japan. made from mitsubishi acrylic, there are two models:

the proportions are more than ample by japanese standards. it's shorter, wider and deeper than a european-style bath, with steep walls, thus reducing surface heat loss to a minimum and enabling one to be entirely and comfortably immersed to the chin. [ photos ] |
