the waters of a steaming thermal spring pour continuously into a simple and deep wooden bath and overflow down onto the stone floor: this is one of the heavens on earth for the japanese.

cedar: solid cedar wooden baths are available custom-made to any shape: round, square and rectangular. the size can vary also. maintenance is minimal, free-standing is ideal and there are optional extras such as seats and a two-part cedar lid.

'hinoki': solid ‘hinoki’ baths are also available custom-made in kyushu and air-freighted direct from japan. they can be made square or rectangular of varying sizes. the 'hinoki' is the 'aomori hiba' variety. it is air dried, has a light colour and a beautiful aroma.
